Rockin’ Aussies Contract for Sale Today’s Date: Puppy Born On: From: X Puppy Description: This contract is between: herein after known as “Buyer” and Stephanie Weidner, Rockin’ Aussies herein known as “Seller”. Address of Buyer: Phone: Email: This puppy is a purebred puppy and is registerable with the American Kennel Club, AKC. Additional Fees Do apply. The buyer agrees to provide a lifelong commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and reasonable care for this animal. This includes keeping dog on monthly heartworm medications throughout the life of the dog. Buyer understands heartworm medication can only be purchased through a veterinarian. Seller has given the puppy round of puppy vaccinations with the dates of those shots provided to the buyer when the buyer receives the puppy. Buyer agrees to provide rounds of puppy vaccines shots in three week intervals according to vet recommendations with the first shot due on . Buyer agrees to provide puppy with a rabies shot annually, beginning at 6 months of age to 1 year of age according to your veterinarian/county regulations. Buyer agrees to keep puppy away from dog parks and public places until all required rounds of puppy vaccines are completed, due to prevalence of Parvovirus in the soil. Buyer agrees to provide dog with annual medical exams and booster shots for the life of the dog. The seller guarantees the puppy to be of sound temperament and excellent health at the time of sale. The buyer has the option to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian of the buyer’s choosing before the end of the day on to have a checkup done. Should the buyer decide to return the puppy for any health reasons of cause at which the seller is at fault on or before , seller will provide a full refund of the purchase price. This does not include worms, coccidian, giardia, fleas, or ticks (as these are common among puppies). The seller assumes no responsibilities associated with veterinary expenses for puppy herein after. This dog is guaranteed by the seller for 1 year for any life threatening hereditary defects, not including retained or undescended testicles. Should such defects be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian (*), seller will replace this dog with a puppy of the buyer’s choosing from a subsequent Rockin’ Aussies litter. The seller IS IS NOT selling this puppy with full AKC breeding rights. Additional stipulations are as follows: If at any time the buyer becomes unable to retain ownership of the dog, Seller will be contacted immediately and will be given first option of resuming full ownership of the dog in order for the seller to locate a new home for the dog. The dog will be returned to the sellers with AKC papers and medical records. The breeder must be notified and breeder reserves the right to approve or prohibit ANY transfer of this animal to a third party. Under no circumstances is this dog to be sold, leased, traded, or given to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter, or similar facility. Failure to comply with any of the above requirements of buyer shall result in prompt return of the dog to breeder, along with all medical records and AKC paper. *a) Rockin’ Aussies guarantees this puppy to be free of genetic defects until the puppy reaches one year of age. If this puppy is found to have a genetic defect, it will be replaced with another puppy of the same sex and comparable color from the first available litter. No money will be refunded. Buyer is responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement puppy. Seller is not responsible for any vet bills. No exceptions. It is the buyer’s responsibility to keep the puppy from unhealthy environments until it has had the full vaccination regimen. Mental Health, Exercise, and Affection are also parts of owning a puppy. Behavioral conditions created by this type of environment will also void this contract. No replacement puppies will be provided in the instance of neglect or abuse creating unstable puppies. This health guarantee does not cover any parasites, internal or external, as this is a treatable condition.
Buyer will receive a copy of the immunization schedule and record with the puppy, or prior to puppy arriving to buyer. This guarantee shall become null and void if the puppy is given any vaccinations or medications other than what is specified on the medical record you received with the puppy registration. Also, all vaccinations must be given in accordance to our schedule. If your puppy displays any indication of poor health within the first 48 hours, Rockin’ Aussies must be contacted, and the puppy must be brought back or taken to our veterinarian for any necessary treatment. Puppies that go out of state must go to a licensed veterinarian, and signed documentation must be sent to Rockin’ Aussies immediately. Failure to do so will cause this guarantee to become null and void. Keep in mind that the transition to a new home, new food, travel, etc., can cause puppy to display symptoms of a change in stool due to stress. We have included a sample of our puppy food and water. Please use this food/water to transition your puppy to the food you will be feeding. Over the course of the next few days, you should gradually add the food you will feed until you have completed the transition. Do not change food all at once, or your puppy will have discomfort and loose stool. Do not add outside treats or other foods during this transition. Let your puppy settle into his new environment first. This will protect the internal workings of your dogs digestive system. A deposit of $200 will be required to hold a puppy. Please note that any deposits or money sent is non-refundable but is transferrable. Please make sure you are ready for the responsibility of a new puppy in your home and that your living quarters are suited to a puppy. We will not refund any money on a puppy that you decide you do not have time for or that your home/ living quarters do not accommodate. Be aware of Puppy Behavior. Biting, Chewing, Barking are all normal puppy behaviors. These are not returnable characteristics. Be prepared for a new puppy. We will accept return of all puppies for any reason when your lifestyle may change. No refunds will be offered. We ship puppies out of Peoria International Airport with United Airlines. We will meet you at the airport if you choose to fly in and pick up your puppy. We schedule the flights to the airport you request and will let you know the flight number, date, and time of departure and arrival.
